History and architecture of Palais Festetics
The Palais Festetics, a jewel of Viennese Classicism, was built in 1858 by the architect duo Johann Julius Romano and August Schendenwein for Countess Eugénie Festetics von Tolna and impresses with its splendid Beletage in the Neo-Renaissance style.
At the end of the 19th century, the palace was home to the Austrian Trade Museum.
In 1919, it was converted into the University of World Trade – today’s University of Economics.
Between 1937 and 2019, it was owned by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and was used for ceremonies and honors.

The Bel Etage
Immerse yourself in imperial flair and let yourself be whisked away into the world of neo-Rococo by the elegant state rooms.
The The four state rooms on the Bel Etage impress with their classically elegant furnishings and can be individually combined,
barrier-free and non-smoking and can accommodate up to 240 guests.
Guest registration and a checkroom are available in the foyer.
Red Salon
The red salon is the heart of the Bel Etage. It covers 125m2 and is connected to both the yellow and green salons by large double doors and can only be entered through these two rooms.

Yellow Salon & Golden Bar
The “Golden Bar” is located in the yellow salon and covers 86m2. It is connected to both the red and blue salons by large double doors. Access is possible directly from the foyer.

Green Salon
The green salon covers 72m2. It can be accessed directly from the foyer and is connected to the red lounge and another adjoining room by large double doors.

Blue Salon
The blue saloon is the smallest and covers 49m2. It is connected to the yellow salon by large
double doors. Access is possible directly from the foyer.

The Artspace
The Artspace is located in the Mezzanine and transports its guests into an artistic world of industrial chic.
This level is also barrier-free and non-smoking and can accommodate up to 240 guests.
The Entrée at the main entrance, which also houses a checkroom, can be used for guest registration.
